Winter is Trumping – GOT GOP Mashup Video Goes Viral

February 22, 2016 – Even when a brilliant idea seems obvious, someone has still got to do the work. You can thank Huw Parkinson and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s politics show “Insiders” for inserting Donald Trump into “Game of Thrones.” The result is frighteningly seamless.

Take the following exchange between Trump and exiled queen, Daenerys Targaryen, at the gates of the Qarth oasis in the Red Waste desert:

“My friend, we have traveled very far. We have no food, no water,” she pleads, but Trump interrupts with, “No. We have a serious problem with radicalism. We have a tremendous problem, and we can’t be the stupid country anymore.”

When she begs, “If you do not let us in, all of us well die,” Trump remains unmoved.

“I said ‘temporarily.’ I didn’t say ‘permanently,’” he says.

But not everyone is amused:

“The Donald Trump video highlighting the Game of Thrones might be amusing to fans of the TV show (I definitely was amused), it was a total turnoff to hear that people from AUSTRALIA put this video together to influence American politics. Yeah, it goes to show that the desperation of influence has no limits – especially those who just want to stir the pot and have no stakes in the upcoming election. Whether you like Donald J. Trump or not, it’s very obvious this was a quick and cheap 15 minutes from a b-listed celebrity from the land down under.”
