ABC Debate Introduction Goes Off the Rails
February 8, 2016 – Things got off to an awkward start at this weekend’s GOP New Hampshire debate hosted by ABC News. It’s hard to tell who’s to blame or why things unraveled they way they did, but everything seemed to snowball after neurosurgeon Ben Carson apparently missed his cue to walk onstage. Carson then lingered in the wings while other candidates including Ted Cruz and Donald Trump either passed him, joined him or came out prematurely. Periodically a frustrated stagehand can be seen trying to corral the situation:
